Despite quality control checks, it is possible that some faulty parts were used in the production of certain Simond Makalu II and Vampire crampons made in the first six months of 2006. Identifying crampons: References are printed on the crampon box and the batch number is on the front outside edge of the crampon, under the anti-balling plate. If you have crampons from these batches please return them to us at: Ets Simond, ZA les Trabets, 74310 Les Houches, France. They will be examined and returned to you within a week. Batch numbers ending in 'X' (eg. 89706X) have been checked and can be used.
